December 2025 Newsletter

December was an impactful month for Elevate Ukraine, marked by direct engagement in Europe and Ukraine, successful fundraising efforts, and verified life-saving aid delivered to the front lines. Through trusted partnerships and on-the-ground collaboration, we continued to turn donor support into measurable humanitarian impact.

In the News

Elevate Ukraine leadership and partners have recently contributed opinion pieces to The Washington Times addressing both the ongoing war and Ukraine’s future.

On December 9, Roman Popadiuk, Chairman of Elevate Ukraine and the first U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, addressed current U.S.-led peace efforts and warned that proposed plans risk failing Ukraine and prolonging the conflict. Ambassador Popadiuk emphasized that the war is not only about territory, but about Ukraine’s identity, sovereignty, and right to security. He cautioned that pressuring Ukraine to make concessions, weaken its defenses, or abandon long-term security guarantees would embolden Russia rather than lead to lasting peace. He argued that a democratic, resilient Ukraine is a far stronger economic and strategic partner for the United States than an autocratic Russia, and that real peace can only come from supporting Ukraine’s strength, not undermining it.

In a separate Washington Times opinion piece published earlier this fall, Ukrainian business leader Pavlo Chumak wrote about the importance of preparing now for Ukraine’s postwar recovery. The article focused on rebuilding trust in institutions, reducing corruption, strengthening civil society, and creating a transparent, competitive business environment. It also highlighted the need to reintegrate veterans into civilian life and to involve the private sector in long-term recovery efforts. Roman Popadiuk, who serves as President of the Unity Club and Chairman of Elevate Ukraine, was noted for his role in connecting humanitarian action today with long-term planning for Ukraine’s future.

Jerry and Susan Fox Trip to Support Ukraine

In December, Jerry, Board Member and Treasurer of Elevate Ukraine, and Susan Fox of Elevate Ukraine traveled to Europe and Ukraine to support partner organizations, coordinate aid, and strengthen long-standing relationships critical to our mission. As with all Elevate Ukraine board members, Jerry and Susan covered their own travel expenses outside of Elevate Ukraine so that donor contributions continue to go directly toward supporting Ukrainians in need.

Jerry and Susan hosted a lunch in Vienna with Sophie Pederson of Vienna Mission For Ukraine (VM4U) and Markus “Max” Pollak of Green Cross MedEvac. VM4U is Elevate Ukraine’s primary partner for delivering aid to NGOs operating inside Ukraine. Sophie regularly travels into Ukraine with humanitarian assistance.

Through collaboration with VM4U and the Tullman Family Office, Elevate Ukraine has helped fund critical supplies for Green Cross MedEvac, including tourniquets. Green Cross operates out of Kramatorsk, providing medical evacuations and emergency services close to the eastern front. Max Pollak, who leads these efforts, had returned briefly to Vienna after six months in eastern Ukraine before heading back to Kramatorsk to continue this life-saving work.

In Uzhhorod, Jerry and Susan met with Alexey Vetrov, a member of Ukraine’s National Police. Elevate Ukraine first met Alexey in Kharkiv in April 2023, during the delivery of Starlink devices to the National Police alongside Elevate Ukraine President Radu Filip.
Alexey was later transferred from Kharkiv to Uzhhorod and arrived with his family just one day before Jerry and Susan. In partnership with a Texas church, Elevate Ukraine provided financial assistance to help cover the family’s relocation expenses. We are grateful to see his family now living in a safer city, away from frequent Russian attacks.

In Lviv, Jerry and Susan met with Jay Rivera at Epicenter to purchase essential items for the Phoenix community in Zaklad, south of Lviv. The Phoenix is a self-sufficient community for internally displaced persons (IDPs), currently expanding and welcoming new residents each week.

Jerry and Susan also met with Lesia Popadiuk and her son in Lviv to deliver donated medical supplies for further distribution to Modrychi in the Lviv oblast. Lesia, the goddaughter of Elevate Ukraine Board Chair Roman Popadiuk, has been instrumental in supporting several humanitarian aid initiatives.

Thanksgiving Fundraiser

Our Thanksgiving Fundraiser successfully concluded after meeting its goal. The campaign focused on raising funds for kitchen supplies needed by a partner organization in Lviv that supports Ukrainian soldiers and their families.

Thanks to generous donor support all required kitchen supplies were funded and delivered. We received a thank-you video from our partner, Jay Rivera, expressing gratitude to Elevate Ukraine and its supporters. This fundraiser directly improved daily operations for those caring for soldiers and their families, turning gratitude into meaningful action.

VM4U Life-Saving Aid Delivered

In November alone, 254 patients were transported to hospitals by 12 medics and drivers, using five ambulances. To date, these efforts have supported the evacuation and transport of 6,617 patients. Fuel resources for this project are expected to be fully utilized by the end of December. Strong monitoring and accountability remain a priority, with ongoing efforts to improve documentation and maintain full transparency.

Throughout November, aid teams traveled more than 20,000 kilometers, delivering 136 tons of humanitarian supplies to eastern and southern Ukraine. These deliveries included: medical supplies (including operating tables); stoves and winter equipment; construction materials; fire extinguishers; hygiene products; clothing and shoes; protective netting; tires, books, toys, and animal supplies.

This work continues to support both civilians and frontline responders during the most challenging months of the year.

Several vehicle-related projects supporting aid delivery have now been successfully completed, with thousands of kilometers driven to move supplies where they are most needed. One vehicle remains under repair due to a longstanding mechanical issue, while others remain fully operational and active in the field.

Operation Change continues to supply stabilization points — improvised emergency medical stations often located in basements near combat zones. These points are frequently the first place wounded civilians or soldiers receive care before being transported to hospitals.

This update reflects the real-time impact of coordinated humanitarian action and reinforces our commitment to transparency, accountability, and measurable results.

Alongside emergency aid efforts, Elevate Ukraine values partnerships that address the long-term human cost of the war, particularly its impact on children.

In July 2025, ACHF President Lena Denman met in Kyiv with Vladyslav Havrylov, a Ukrainian researcher affiliated with Georgetown University, East-SOS, and the Media Initiative for Human Rights, to discuss the ongoing deportation of Ukrainian children from occupied territories.

Havrylov explained how children are removed from regions such as Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Crimea and transferred deep into Russia, often without records being shared with Ukrainian authorities. He described how deported children are exposed to propaganda and re-education aimed at erasing their Ukrainian identity, making recovery and reintegration extremely difficult. ACHF is working to raise awareness of these crimes internationally, and Elevate Ukraine is exploring cooperation with Save Ukraine, an organization directly involved in locating, returning, and rehabilitating affected children.

Winter in Ukraine

As winter deepens, civilians across Ukraine continue to face harsh living conditions caused by relentless Russian attacks on critical infrastructure. Repeated missile and drone strikes have targeted power plants, heating systems, and electrical grids, leaving millions of people to endure extended blackouts, limited heating, and unreliable access to electricity during the coldest months of the year.

For many families, daily life now includes living in darkness, rationing heat, and preparing for sudden power outages that can last hours or days. Apartments, hospitals, schools, and community centers often rely on generators or improvised solutions to maintain basic services. In frontline and recently liberated areas, conditions are even more severe.

Despite these hardships, Ukrainians continue to mark Christmas during wartime with resilience and quiet strength. Celebrations are often modest — shared meals prepared with limited resources, candles replacing electric lights, and families gathering whenever safety allows. For many, Christmas is no longer about abundance, but about survival, unity, and hope.

This reality underscores why winter aid and sustained humanitarian support remain critical. As Russian bombardments continue, the need for warmth, power, medical care, and community support does not pause for the holidays.

Christmas Fundraiser

Our Christmas Fundraiser is currently ongoing. This campaign continues to invite supporters to give during the holiday season and help sustain humanitarian assistance into the new year. Funds raised will support ongoing relief efforts and critical needs identified through our trusted partners inside Ukraine.

December highlighted the importance of direct engagement, accountability, and community support. Elevate Ukraine remains deeply grateful to its donors, partners, and volunteers whose continued commitment makes this work possible.

As this year’s Brazos Valley Gives comes to a close, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported Elevate Ukraine.

Your generosity made a real impact — and this video shows what your donations accomplished last year: lifesaving supplies delivered, families supported, and hope carried across Ukraine.

But our work isn’t done. This year, we’re determined to do even more.

Together, we can continue to uplift and rebuild communities affected by the war.

Watch the video and see the difference you made. https://elevateukraine.org/impact

Thank you for standing with Ukraine.

Brazos Valley Gives — October 21, 2025

Mark your calendars!
Brazos Valley Gives takes place Tuesday, October 21, and we’re excited to be part of this incredible day of giving once again.

This community-wide campaign unites hundreds of nonprofits, including Elevate Ukraine, to raise funds for causes that make a difference both locally and globally.

Your donations through https://www.brazosvalleygives.org directly support our ongoing projects:

-              Medical aid for frontline medics

-              Humanitarian support for children and families

-              Supplies for hospitals and evacuation teams

Every contribution helps us respond faster, reach farther, and give more Ukrainians the chance to live safely and with dignity.

Let’s show once again what our community can do when we come together for Ukraine.

Green Cross MedEvac Tourniquet Supply Project

We’re proud to share an important initiative now underway — the Green Cross MedEvac Tourniquet Supply Project, organized by Volunteers for Ukraine (VM4U) for Max and his team at Green Cross MedEvac.

Thanks to sponsorship from the Tullman Family Office and 501(c)(3) support from Elevate Ukraine, a large shipment of tourniquets and pouches is being prepared for delivery to frontline medical teams in Eastern Ukraine.

Green Cross MedEvac is currently conducting life-saving medical training for Ukrainian medics operating in high-risk zones. Tourniquets are among the most urgently needed supplies — and this project ensures more soldiers and civilians receive the critical care they need when every second counts.

With $21,000 reallocated to this project, approximately 840 tourniquets will be delivered — each one representing a life that could be saved on the battlefield.

Together, we are helping save lives.

Tullman Family Network Projects

We recently received an update from VM4U regarding several projects funded by the Tullman Family Network, including those supported by Elevate Ukraine.

Highlights include:

·      TacMed Ukraine (TMU) Diesel Supply Project:
In September, 419 patients were transported to hospitals by 11 medics and drivers across Ukraine — bringing the total to nearly 6,000 patients helped since the project began. A new donated ambulance arrived on September 17, extending operations through November 2025.

·      Operation Change Van Repair & Supply Projects:
Repairs to the BigSprint and HorseBox vans and continued operation of the BFF van have allowed Operation Change to deliver an estimated 177 tons of humanitarian aid across Ukraine since project start.

·      Operation Change Diesel Supply Project:
A transparency visit was completed in September by Andrew Jones, a VM4U volunteer from Irving, Texas. Andrew spent 11 days with the Operation Change team in eastern Ukraine, documenting aid deliveries, verifying receipts, and ensuring transparency across the project. His photo documentary and report can be viewed through the links below.

This update reflects the strength of collaboration between donors, volunteers, and partner organizations, each playing a critical role in sustaining aid delivery to those who need it most.

Support for Orphans in Lviv Oblast

Elevate Ukraine partnered with Jakob Kepka to respond to an urgent need at an orphanage in Lviv oblast, brought to our attention through his friend Jakub Cienik in Poland.

The orphanage, which cares for children displaced by the war, faced a serious shortage of school supplies as the new academic year began. Elevate Ukraine joined efforts to raise $500, combining funds from our church partners and our own budget to make sure these children had what they needed to learn and thrive.

Jakob visited the orphanage personally, spending time with the kids and delivering the supplies. The donation has been officially credited to Elevate Ukraine, ensuring the organization can continue building relationships with these vital community institutions.

In November, Jakob will return to Ukraine and visit the orphanage again— bringing with him not only more support, but also hope.

We’ve also received painted shell casings and canvas art from the children and volunteers — pieces that we may feature at a future fundraising event or silent auction to raise further aid for Ukrainian orphans.

Donor Gives Medtronic Diabetes Supplies

We recently received a deeply meaningful donation from an anonymous friend of Elevate Ukraine — a diabetes patient who chose to give part of their personal medical supply stock to help others in need.

Their contribution included:

-              2 boxes of Guardian Sensor (3)

-              3 boxes of Extended Infusion Set (5×)

-              18 boxes of MiniMed Reservoir

This donation, valued at approximately $1,500, represents more than material aid — it’s an act of compassion and solidarity from one person living with a chronic condition to others facing unimaginable hardship in Ukraine.

We are humbled and grateful for this generosity, which reminds us that giving can take many forms — even personal sacrifice.

Celebrating Ukraine’s Independence Day in Texas

In August, Irina Filip and Radu Filip, CEO of Elevate Ukraine, had the honor of joining the Consul General of Ukraine in Houston, Mr. Vitalii Tarasiuk, and his wife, Mrs. Oksana Tarasiuk, for a community event dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day. The gathering brought together Ukrainian and American friends and supporters, united in their commitment to freedom and solidarity with Ukraine.

Jerry Fox, VP Treasurer of Elevate Ukraine, attended a community event organized in College Station by the Ukrainian Club at Texas A&M University, which brought together local organizations and supporters of Ukraine. The program featured Lena Denman (Founder, Arlene Campbell Humanitarian Foundation), Bogdana Griffin, Olga Samborska-Nolan, Natalia Kopeć (Polish Association), and Aidan Weatherford (Ukrainian Club Officer).

Sofia Griffin, President of the Ukrainian Club, also shared her original poem, which was warmly received by attendees.

Ukraine’s Independence: Courage in the Face of Conflict

This August 24th, Ukrainians mark their Independence Day under extraordinary circumstances. Even as the war enters its fourth year, millions continue to work, go to school, and live daily life under constant threat. The bravery of ordinary Ukrainians—parents, teachers, doctors, and children—is nothing short of extraordinary.

Independence isn’t just a date on the calendar—it’s a daily fight for freedom, dignity, and survival. This year, your support can make a tangible difference by ensuring Ukrainians have the aid, resources, and hope they desperately need.

New Partnership with Modern Ukraine, Penta, and Elevate Ukraine

We are proud to announce a major alliance between Modern Ukraine Charity Foundation, Penta Medical Recycling, and Elevate Ukraine, aimed at providing a more coordinated and effective humanitarian response in Ukraine.

-      Modern Ukraine, located in Ukraine, provides administrative and in-country support for joint initiatives, leveraging its ecosystem of cultural, educational, and social programs across Ukraine.

-      Penta Medical Recycling (based in the U.S) specializes in prosthetics and medical support for both civilians and military personnel.

-      Elevate Ukraine (based in the U.S.) contributes medical kits, generators, communications equipment, and food, including support for war orphans.

Board Member Dan Richard is leading this collaborative effort, which will also include partnerships with groups like Regulus and Gorno, introducing advanced brain-health technology for PTSD treatment among soldiers.

Together, these organizations—U.S.- and Ukraine-based—are working to maximize humanitarian impact and support Ukraine’s long-term recovery.

Phoenix Rise Commercial Kitchen – Help Feed Families

The Phoenix Rise project, led by American volunteer Jay Rivera, is a rehabilitation initiative near Lviv, operating within a wing of the Zákład Psychiatric Hospital. The program serves soldiers with severe PTSD, many of whom are joined by their families, providing a peaceful environment away from busy cities.

We are thrilled to share that thanks to our donors, Phoenix Rise has already received a new commercial refrigerator! Jay Rivera shared:

“A massive thank you to Elevate Ukraine for getting us a new commercial refrigerator for the Phoenix! We will be welcoming 12 families next week, and this support means that we can start stocking up on meats and vegetables.”

With this essential piece of equipment in place, we are now raising funds to complete the kitchen setup. So far, $1,500 has already been raised, and your donations will help cover the remaining items:

-              Stainless Steel Tables with Shelves – 3 units ($471)

-              Food Processor – 1 unit ($130)

-              Stainless Steel Shelving – 2 units ($66)

-              Meat Grinder – 1 unit ($82)

-              Rice Cooker / Multi-Cooker – 1 unit ($74)

-              Cut-Resistant Gloves – 3 pairs ($69)

-              Kitchen Knives – 3 sets ($31)

-              Stainless Steel Colander – 2 units ($11)

This kitchen will provide fresh meals and nutritional support, a crucial part of the rehabilitation process for these soldiers and their families. With your support, we can fully equip Phoenix Rise, help welcome families, and provide nutritious meals to Ukraine’s heroes as they recover from the trauma of war.

Brazos Valley Gives – 3D Printing for Children

As part of Brazos Valley Gives, we are raising funds for 3D printers that will directly benefit children affected by the war. These printers will allow hospitals and clinics in Ukraine to produce prosthetics and medical aids locally, giving children a better chance at mobility and independence.

So far in our 3D Printer efforts, we donated equipment at TNMU and for Children’s Cardiology Hospital in Kyiv.

With your help, we can expand this program and bring hope to even more children.

Elevate Ukraine in the News

Recently, Radu Filip, CEO, and Lena Denman, founder, shared the realities of the war in a KBTX TV interview, highlighting the courage of Ukrainians and the urgent need for international support:

-              Daily life under threat: Families endure nights with air raid sirens, basements, and constant danger, yet they continue to work, send their children to school, and maintain their communities.

-              Persistent bravery: Filip described the determination of Ukrainians as “one of the most remarkable displays of courage I’ve ever seen in my life.”

-              Call for action: Both leaders emphasized that every individual can help—government action is not the only way to make a difference.

Supporting Life-Saving Operations in Ukraine

This week, we want to share updates from our partner organizations delivering critical aid across Ukraine. The Tullman Family Network and VM4U generously sponsor this initiative, with Elevate Ukraine supporting their efforts and helping amplify their impact.

TacMed Ukraine Diesel Supply Project – On Schedule:

In July, 608 patients were transported to hospitals by medics and drivers using ambulances and support vehicles, bringing the total to over 5,000 patients served to date. A new ICU ambulance was donated in July, and operations are expected to continue through November with additional fuel support.

Operation Change Van Supply and Repair Projects – Complete:

Deliveries of medical supplies, hygiene items, wheelchairs, and other essentials reached shelters and aid centers in Dnipro, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Vehicles logged thousands of kilometers transporting aid to those who need it most.

We are incredibly grateful to our partners and the Tullman Family Network for enabling these vital missions.

Voices from the Frontlines of Resilience

“In their defiance, Ukrainians continue to go every day to work. They send their kids to school, they go shopping, they go to concerts, and they try to live life as normal as possible under these air raid alarms and threats. It’s one of the most remarkable displays of courage I’ve ever seen in my life, and it’s why we keep going back to help,” shared Elevate Ukraine CEO Radu Filip in a recent interview with KBTX.

As the war enters its fourth year, our mission has not slowed. Alongside partners like the Arlene Campbell Humanitarian Foundation, we continue delivering life-saving aid to families who face nights filled with air raid sirens, power outages, and unimaginable stress — yet never lose their spirit.

Courage is not the absence of fear, but the choice to keep living, building, and dreaming in the face of it. That is what Ukraine shows the world every day.

Stand with us in supporting this resilience.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 11th, 2025

College Station, Texas

Three Charities Supporting Ukraine Combine Efforts

In a major effort to enhance support for Ukraine’s war-torn populace and wounded combatants, three charities in the United States and Ukraine will combine efforts to provide a more effective response to the country’s humanitarian needs.

Modern Ukraine Charity Foundation, Penta Medical Recycling and Elevate Ukraine, three groups actively involved in assisting the Ukrainian people, have formed a partnership to coordinate their mutual efforts and to provide a more effective response to the country's various humanitarian needs.

Modern Ukraine, a Kyiv based charity foundation, operates as a broad ecosystem of initiatives and partners across Ukraine addressing humanitarian, cultural, educational and social needs. Its cultural and educational initiatives also extend internationally, helping foster global awareness of Ukraine.

Penta is a New York based nonprofit focusing on providing prosthetics world-wide. Penta has been actively involved in Ukraine for a number of years providing its services to both the military and civilian populations.

Elevate Ukraine is a Texas-based nonprofit which has been active in providing medical kits, generators, communications equipment and food, as well as various efforts in support of war orphans.

By working together, the various resources available to each of the organizations can be applied more effectively to assist those most in need. The alliance is also positioning itself to assist in the rebuilding process once Ukraine moves into the post war environment. The alliance’s long-term vision includes strengthening Ukraine’s social, political and economic landscape to help build a resilient, prosperous and democratic nation ready to take its place in the global community. As the in-country member, Modern Ukraine will provide the administrative support and supervisory staff to carry out the mutual activities.

"Modern Ukraine has been a key force in assisting the people of Ukraine", said Ambassador Roman Popadiuk, Chaiman of the Board of Directors of Elevate Ukraine, " and we, along with Penta, are looking forward to our united efforts to help Ukraine meet its current challenges and to move toward a brighter future."

"We are deeply grateful for the support of our American partners,” added Pavlo Babenko, Head of Modern Ukraine Foundation. "Together we can not only strengthen our humanitarian response but also reinforce the ties between Ukraine and the United States. This is just the beginning---we are already working closely to define specific joint projects that will maximize our collective impact on the ground.”

"Penta is pleased to be part of this cooperative relationship," said Henry Iseman, founder of Penta and Chairman of the Penta Board. "We look forward to broadening our support through our mutual efforts."

The three organizations will be working with partnering groups to maximize the services that can be provided to the Ukrainian people. "We welcome the support of our partners." said Radu Filip, President of Elevate Ukraine "and look forward to broadening our network of partnering groups."

One partner, Regulus, is based in the United States and has extensive experience in humanitarian and medical assistance.  Regulus is partnering to provide an advanced brain-health technology called Wave Neuro to help overcome PTSD and other neurological disorders. Its application has been proven to be highly effective and does not require any medication. Working with Regulus is Ukraine based Gorno (Previously Krevni), a group dedicated to providing psychological counseling and other services in support of Ukraine's military.

For information on the three groups or to inquire about partnering or to bring projects to their attention please visit their respective websites: www.elevateukraine.org; www.pentaprosthetics.org; www.modern-ukraine.com.ua

Elevate Ukraine CEO Radu Filip and Communications Manager Daria Rogova had the honor of presenting to the Reveille Club of Houston, a network of Texas A&M Mays Business School alumni.

Through a visual presentation titled “Why Still Help Ukraine?”, we shared powerful stories and facts about the ongoing war, the human cost, and the work Elevate Ukraine is doing — from trauma kits and frontline ambulances to support for refugee children and veterans.

We also talked about how anyone can take action: through donating, volunteering, raising awareness, and staying informed.

A heartfelt thank-you to Sara Runge and Shawn Lafferty for the warm invitation and to everyone at the Reveille Club for your kindness, engagement, and support.

June 2025 Newsletter

As we approach the month of July, our thoughts turn to the meaning of independence—both for the United States as we prepare to celebrate the 4th of July, and for Ukraine as it continues its courageous fight for sovereignty. This month, we reflect on the shared revolutionary spirit of both nations: a smaller, determined people standing up for their right to self-rule against overwhelming odds.

Ukraine’s struggle is now in its fourth year. According to recent UN reports, civilian casualties continue to rise, and thousands are displaced each week. Children suffer most - an average of 16 are killed or injured weekly. Yet through this darkness, resilience shines: veterans taking first steps on new prosthetics, children returning to school, and frontline communities continuing to endure thanks to your support.

Humanitarian Aid

In May, our partners at TacMed Ukraine (TMU) transported 412 wounded civilians and defenders to safety using 6 ambulances and 1 support bus. These life-saving missions were conducted by 12 medics and 4 drivers, operating across some of the most dangerous zones in eastern Ukraine. To date, 3,943 patients have been transported.

Alongside Operation Change, the Tullman Family Network, and Green Cross, three tactical vans — BigSprint, BFF, and HorseBox — delivered 62 tons of humanitarian aid across more than 6,173 kilometers of war-torn territory. Supplies included medical equipment, fire extinguishers, children’s items, tires, and hygiene kits. Year-to-date, the coalition has delivered 387 tons of aid shipped from Sweden.

Project led by TMU and Green Cross, with primary funding from the Tullman Family Foundation, and with support from Elevate Ukraine and VM4U.

All fuel expenses have been independently audited, with 99% receipt compliance for May. The entire diesel fund has gone directly to frontline operations.

Our Role

Elevate Ukraine plays a facilitating and supporting role, helping to turn frontline needs into reality.

In the past three months, we have funded the purchase and delivery of professional-grade 3D printers and scanners to the Prosthetics & Orthotics program at Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU) — a first-of-its-kind initiative launched in Ukraine in 2024.

We also supported trauma kit deliveries to emergency responders following recent drone attacks in Poltava and compensated local volunteers who provided emergency coffee and water to victims, doctors, and rescue teams.

While we often operate behind the scenes, your donations have allowed Elevate Ukraine to move swiftly, fill urgent resource gaps, and empower local partners to respond where large institutions cannot.

Veteran Support

The prosthetics lab at Ternopil National Medical University has now fitted over 50 amputees with custom 3D-printed limbs — tools of independence for those who sacrificed for their country.

Our job placement pilot in Kyiv has helped veterans find meaningful work, with plans to expand to three more cities. In July, we launch a mobile therapy unit offering physical rehab and mental health support to rural areas where care is otherwise inaccessible.

Education: Rebuilding the Future

Recognizing that Ukraine’s future lies in its youth, Elevate Ukraine continues to invest in education. 100 school kits were delivered to displaced children in western Ukraine. We’re also preparing to award 50 full scholarships this fall.

This summer, 40 students will attend our Ukraine Coding Camp, led by both Ukrainian and American volunteers. The camp pairs technical skill-building with English language learning — an investment in the future leadership of a free Ukraine.

March Mission

In March, Elevate Ukraine Board Director Jerry Fox and his wife, Susan, completed a high-impact mission to Ukraine.  The primary purpose of the trip was to explore the development of partnerships with other NGOs and meet with two universities with whom we hoped to develop prosthetic training programs.  All of these initiatives successfully resulted in a follow up trip to Ukraine in June by Elevate Ukraine President Radu Filip.  Since the March trip followed on the heals of the Zelensky-Trump meeting at the White House, this trip also served as a timely reassurance to our Ukrainian partners of Elevate Ukraine’s long-term commitment to Ukraine.  This is the kind of mission we must continue—and your support makes it possible.

From Ambassador Roman Popadiuk

In recent op-eds published in NV.ua and The Washington Times, Elevate Ukraine Board Chair, and former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Roman Popadiuk urged a reset in the West’s strategy toward Russia, and praised the impact of grassroots organizations like ours.

“Peace can only come from strength… donor-supported grassroots missions provide essential help that complements larger aid programs.”

Ambassador Popadiuk’s message is clear: the work Elevate Ukraine is doing — your work — is essential to Ukraine’s defense and recovery.

Transparency and Attribution

Elevate Ukraine is committed to transparency. Every donor dollar is tracked, and our partners are always credited. We proudly support and collaborate with TacMed Ukraine, VM4U, GXM, and the Tullman Family Foundation in medical logistics; Operation Change and Green Cross in humanitarian delivery; local field partners in eastern Ukraine who risk their lives to deliver aid.

The Independence Connection

As Americans prepare to celebrate the 4th of July, we remember that freedom often begins with struggle. Ukraine’s fight mirrors our own history — brave individuals standing for the right to choose their future.

This Independence Day, you can honor both nations’ shared values by:

Donating to fund a prosthetic limb ($1,500) or trauma kit ($75)

Volunteering your expertise as a mentor, educator, or medical professional

Advocating by sharing Ukraine’s story on social media

If you find it in your heart to help the people of Ukraine, we appreciate your contribution: elevateukraine.org/donate

During our recent visit to the National Specialized Children’s Hospital “Okhmatdyt” in Kyiv, Elevate Ukraine CEO, Radu Filip, met with Managing Director Serhiy Chernyshuk to discuss the hospital’s current challenges and opportunities for future collaboration.

Okhmatdyt is one of the most advanced pediatric medical centers in Ukraine, performing approximately 7,000 surgeries each year across fields such as oncology, neurosurgery, reconstructive surgery, neonatal care, and bone marrow transplantation. The hospital treats over 18,000 children annually and provides emergency care to nearly 20,000.

Tragically, more than 60% of the facility was recently damaged or destroyed, including critical units like pediatric dialysis/toxicology, surgical and oncology wards, ICU, and radiology. At the time of the strike, over 600 patients and staff were inside. Around 100 had to be urgently evacuated. There were fatalities and dozens injured.

Beyond urgent reconstruction needs, Okhmatdyt is also seeking collaboration with American hospitals for medical and research partnerships to help advance pediatric care in Ukraine. Elevate Ukraine stands ready to support this mission and calls on partners in the U.S. and beyond to join us.

Supporting Amputees with Dignity and Hope

During our recent visit to Kyiv, Elevate Ukraine met with Michael Vakhtomin, Director of a Kyiv-based nonprofit foundation dedicated to producing prosthetics for children, civilians, and defenders injured in the war.

Each year, they serve over 450 patients, offering not just physical rehabilitation but the chance to return to a life of dignity and independence.

A new, state-of-the-art facility outside Kyiv is now under development. Once completed, it will expand access dramatically — starting with 360 patients in its first year and growing to 800 annually. While most of the funding is secured, a critical need remains - training qualified prosthetic technicians.

This is where Elevate Ukraine is stepping in. Supporting these efforts directly aligns with our mission to rebuild lives and futures. Your donation can help provide the specialized training that will empower local professionals to serve hundreds more Ukrainians in need.

Elevate Ukraine recently visited Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) Medical School to explore ways to support medical innovation during wartime. Our CEO, Radu Filip, met with Oleksandr Halkin, Olena Golembiovska, and Dr. Vitaliy Maksymenko to discuss two initiatives.

The first is a grant proposal to fund 3D scanning and 3D printing equipment and train specialists to produce prosthetics for civilians—especially children—who have lost limbs due to the war.

The second is an open call for collaboration with U.S. institutions in fields such as regenerative medicine , medical biotechnologies, mycology, biopharmaceutical engineering, biomedical imaging and informatics, prosthetics engineering, rehabilitation, and biosafety.

KPI’s most immediate need is 3D printing equipment. Elevate Ukraine is raising funds to support this work. Your donation will directly help build life-changing prosthetics and train the experts who make them.

We witnessed frontline medics providing life-saving emergency care to injured soldiers and civilians. During our recent mission trip, Radu Filip, the CEO of Elevate Ukraine, visited a TacMed Ukraine operation near the Donetsk (Pokrovsk) sector. Where the stakes are as high as the risks.

In these harrowing conditions, extraordinary teams of volunteers are pushing the limits of what’s possible, using trauma kits and equipment made possible by our donors. With a special thanks to the financial support of Tullman Family Office and in collaboration with Vienna Missions 4 Ukraine. Because of your unwavering support, these brave medics are stabilizing patients in the field—saving lives in the most dire circumstances.

We’re proud to stand with TacMed Ukraine—ensuring no injured person is left without help.

With only $75 you can save a life with a first aid medical trauma kit.

Building Futures with 3D-Printed Hope!

Thanks for the generosity of our donors, we are happy to report the delivery and deployment in operation of 3 cutting-edge 3D printers and scanners at Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU).

This equipment is indispensable to train the next generation of prosthetics and orthotics specialists in Ukraine.

These tools will help medical students to significantly accelerate the design and creation of custom prosthetic limbs for war veterans, civilians, and children injured in the war. TNMU is now one of Ukraine’s leading centers for advanced rehabilitation training — critical for post-war recovery.

Following the initial introduction in March with our VP Treasurer and Board Member Jerry Fox, our CEO Radu Filip recently visited Ternopil to cut officially mark the deployment in operation of these medial equipments.
During Radu’s visit with Rector Mykhailo Korda and his team, we discussed expanding this program to train more specialists in 3D-printing prosthetics, develop mobile rehab labs for frontline areas, and partner with U.S. universities for knowledge exchange.
