Elevate Ukraine’s Official Statement Following President Zelenskyy's Visit to the White House
Following President Zelenskyy's brief visit to the White House on February 28th, which included a media press conference with President Trump and Vice President Vance, Elevate Ukraine has issued an official statement:
”President Zelenskyy's visit to Washington last week ended in disappointment as a result of differences regarding Ukraine's rightful concerns over security and the conduct of any eventual peace process that may short change Ukraine's interests. These differences have raised international concerns about the U. S. commitment to Ukraine. Despite the setback, officials in the U.S. and Europe are working to ensure continued U.S. and European support of Ukraine in fending off the Russian aggression.
While the diplomatic process continues to unfold, the people of the U.S. are committed to helping Ukraine. Various American organizations have been working closely with their Ukrainian counterparts to provide humanitarian assistance. This assistance encompasses a wide range of items, including medical kits, food, generators, communications equipment and clothing, American business is heavily involved in Ukraine, including the defense sector, and looks forward to strengthening the economic partnership. Together, in partnership with Ukraine, all these organizations and businesses are working very hard to helping Ukraine be a strong, viable, prosperous and secure member of the community of nations. Elevate Ukraine, which has been providing humanitarian assistance, is part of this effort and we look forward to our continued work with our Ukrainian colleagues. The bonds between the American people and Ukrainian people cannot and will not be broken”.
