Elevate Ukraine Elects Ambassador Roman Popadiuk as Board Chairman

Popadiuk brings decades of government and private sector experience to positon

The Board of Directors of Elevate Ukraine today announced the electon of Ambassador Roman Popadiuk as Board Chairman.

Ambassador Popadiuk served as the first U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine and has been actvely involved in numerous matters involving Ukraine for more than 40 years. Since Russia’s illegal invasion, Ambassador Popadiuk has been involved in humanitarian and other efforts in support of Ukraine. Prior professional actvites have included serving as Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Press Secretary for Foreign Affairs at the White House in the Reagan and Bush (41) administrations. He went on to serve as Executive Director of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum at Texas A&M University.

"I am very excited to serve as board chairman of Elevate Ukraine. Americans have always generously extended assistance to those in need, both at home and abroad. I look forward to working with my fellow board members, our excellent staff and all our partners and supporters in our efforts on behalf of Ukraine," said Ambassador Popadiuk. "United States support is not only important for humanitarian reasons but is also part of a broad internatonal effort to help Ukraine preserve its freedom in the face of Russian aggression. In this manner, we are not only enhancing the security of Ukraine but also that of the United States, Europe, and the surrounding region."

Radu Filip will contnue on the Board and was elected for the role of President and CEO with the responsibility for the daily management of Elevate Ukraine. He is being assisted by Anna Karas who serves as Director of Operatons. Kent Dale will also continue in the role of Vice Chairman and Jerry Fox will remain as Board Secretary and Treasurer.
