Elevate Ukraine Newsletter: Honoring Two Years Since The Invasion
Today marks a solemn anniversary in the history of Ukraine. Two years ago, on February 24th, Russia initiated its unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine. As we reflect on this tragic milestone, our hearts are heavy with the memory of the innocent lives lost and the countless others forever changed by this conflict.
According to the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (HRMMU), conflict-related violence in the past two years has claimed the lives of more than 10,000 civilians and left nearly 20,000 injured. These numbers, however staggering, likely do not capture the full extent of the devastation and loss experienced by Ukrainian communities.
In the face of such adversity, it becomes clear that freedom is not free. While we may sometimes take our peaceful lives for granted, our Ukrainian brothers and sisters are fighting tirelessly for their survival and their right to self-determination.
Since the onset of the invasion, Elevate Ukraine has remained steadfast in our commitment to supporting those affected by the war. Through your generosity and unwavering support, we have been able to provide vital humanitarian assistance to those in need, offering hope and relief in the midst of uncertainty.
As we commemorate this solemn anniversary, we humbly ask for your continued support. The journey toward peace and freedom for Ukraine is ongoing, and it is only through collective action and solidarity that we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by this crisis.
Kindly,
Team Elevate Ukraine
