Elevate Ukraine Helps Feed 1,500 Families in One of the Worst-Hit Areas of Ukraine

In the midst of ongoing war and devastation in Ukraine, we have made a significant stride in delivering aid to the war-torn city of Kharkiv. In February 2024, Elevate Ukraine successfully delivered a container carrying 250,000 protein-fortified rice meals, totaling 40,000 pounds, to Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city and one of the hardest-hit areas in the Russian invasion.

Kharkiv, once a bustling urban center, has faced relentless attacks since the onset of the conflict, enduring some of the most severe bombardments in Europe since World War II. The city's infrastructure has been decimated, and its civilian population has suffered immeasurably, with widespread casualties and extensive damage to buildings.

Recognizing the urgent need for assistance in Kharkiv, we swiftly mobilized efforts to provide aid to those most affected by the crisis. Teaming up with the local nonprofit Kh.Lib (Kharkiv Liberation), Elevate Ukraine distributed rice meals to over 1500 vulnerable families in Kharkiv and the surrounding regions. The distribution efforts prioritized groups such as the elderly, persons with disabilities, families with children, internally displaced persons, and victims of Russia's military aggression.

Despite facing constant threats from missile attacks and bombings, these communities received crucial support to meet their basic needs.

"Elevate Ukraine is proud to stand in solidarity with the resilient people of Kharkiv during these challenging times," said Roman Popadiuk, Chairman at Elevate Ukraine and the first U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine. "Our partnership with Kh.Lib has enabled us to reach those who need assistance the most, providing nourishment and hope amidst adversity."

As Ukraine continues to strive for peace, stability, and recovery, Elevate Ukraine remains steadfast in our commitment to supporting affected communities. Through initiatives like the Rice Shipment Project, we continue to make a tangible difference in the lives of Ukrainians grappling with war and displacement.

We express our gratitude to our generous supporters and tireless volunteers, who made this project possible. Together, we are making a meaningful difference and offering hope for a brighter future in Ukraine!
